Vancouver Island's West Coast is known as the Graveyard of the Pacific, a name it earned as a result of the many ships that have been wrecked in the area over the past century. These wrecks, along with reefs, pinnacles, and a multitude of marine plant and animal life, are a real lure for scuba divers.
